Literacy by the Bay is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds grow as successful readers and writers and communicators. Affiliated with the bookstore Sausalito Books by the Bay, it bolsters the literary community by hosting events, raising awareness about authors, and bringing the community together. CEO and Chair Cheryl Popp launched Literacy by the Bay with author Isabel Allende. Arukah Animal International and Literacy by the Bay are planning a multimedia fund-raising event.
